Dec. 26, 2011 at 13:28 - Apartment Fire - 1600 East Main Street in
Washington Township - Box 2-70 - Engine Co. 2, Tower 2, Rescue Squad 2
and units from Mont Alto, Blue Ridge Summit, Fountaindale ,Leitersburg
and the Waynesboro Ambulance Squad had the blaze under control in 10
minutes. Damage was contained to the attic and one second-floor bedroom.
There were no injuries and Lieutenant John Beck placed units in service
at 15:42 hours.
Dec. 25, 2011 at 1656 hours - Chimney Fire at single family dwelling- 22703 Cavetown Church Road in Washington County MD. Smithsburg's box 7-01. Tower 2 responded with a crew of three, once on the scene they laddered the home and cleaned the burning material from the flue, also opened up side-D to check for extension and supplied the scene with scene lights. Tower was available and returning at 18:17 hours.
Dec. 25, 2011 at 13:28 hours - Hazardous Materials Incident, fuel spill - North Potomac Street from West Main Street to West North Street - Box 2-01. The transfer company Adams County Engine-Rescue 3 Fountain Dale handled the incident. The Borough of Waynesboro Street department was called in to assist with the clean up. Waynesboro EMA was on the scene as well as Waynesboro, Mont Alto and Blue Ridge Summit Fire-Police. Units went in service at 14:04 hours and returned to WFD Station 1.
Dec. 25, 2011 at 12:21 hours - Investigation of a electrical odor - 221 West Main Street in Waynesboro. Box 2-01. Engine 2-2, Tower 2 and Deputy Chief 2-2 Trayer Stoops responded on the call. Upon arrival the crew found a fire in the attic and up graded the local alarm to a full first alarm assignment. Assisting on the call was Engine companies from Mont Alto, Blue Ridge Summit, Leitersburg MD, Rescue Squad from Rescue Hose Co. Greencastle, Ladder Truck from New Franklin. Deputy Chief Stoops placed the last units in service at 14:16 hours.
Dec. 23, 2011 at 16:27 hours - Smoke in a single family dwelling - 15232 Wyndham Avenue, Washington Twp. Box 4-01. Engine 2-1 and Tower 2 responded on the box with a total of 12 personnel on the call (including Fire-Police). Engine 2-1 and Tower 2 level one staged. Captain 19 reported an electrical malfunction main a sub pump and a smoke condition in the basement. The unit in staging were placed available at 16:46 hours
Dec. 23, 2011 - Work Detail. Crews cleaned out the carnival storage garage, it has been has been demolition. Thank you to everyone that hepled.
Dec. 21, 2011 - 6569 Slabtown Road, Quincy Township, Box 5-02 - Quincy Twp - Chimney fire with fire in the wall. Engine 2-1, Engine - Tanker 2 and Rescue Squad 2 responded on the first alarm assignment. The Rescue Squad's crew was sent to the attic to check for extension by Command 5. Engine 2-1 and the Engine Tanker was held in staging. The box was placed in service at 02:03 hours
December 20,2011 - The Memorial Bell has returned to the Waynesboro Fire Department. This bell was once on top of the Firemen's Hall and then on the bell tower of the Always There Hook and Ladder fire station on South Potomac Street. About two year ago the bell tower became unsafe and had to be taken down. This piece of the fire department's history has been saved.

Dec. 12, 2011 at 11:16 hours - Fire in an apartment building - Box 2-01 - 221 West North Street in Waynesboro. The resident took the burning pan of grease from the stove and put it into the sink were it contacted the drapes and other near by combustibles. Engine 2-1,Engine 2-2, Rescue Squad 2, Tower 2 and Waynesboro EMS were on the scene. The single engine from Mont Alto transfer to station 1 and the single engine from Washington County Company 9 was placed in service. The fire was put out with a "can" and single 1 3/4 line. The tower crew checked for extension and the squad crew ventilated. Waynesboro Fire Police closed West North Street to all traffic. As public service, a WORKING smoke detector was installed before units were placed in service at 11:45 hours.
Dec. 06, 2011 The Memorial Bell project has started at Virginia Avenue Fire Station. The bell from the South Potomac Fire Station is going to be relocated to the front lawn at Station 2
Dec. 05,2011 at 23:30 hours - Smoke from an Apartment Building - Box 3-04 - 104 East Baltimore Street apartment 206 in Greencastle. Company 2 responded with Engine 2-1 and Tower 2. Engine 2-1 staged and the tower took side A and was ready for operation. The engine and tower were available at 00:11 hours.
Dec. 05, 2011 at 20:07 hours - Electrical fire in a single family dwelling - Box 2-01 - 516 West Sixth Street in Waynesboro. Engine 2-1,Tower 2 and Rescue Squad 2 responded from Waynesboro and single engines from Mont Alto and Leitersburg MD and a BLS Ambulance from Waynesboro EMS. A electrical fire in the basement was extinguished by the owner. The Tower and Squad crews checked for extension and secured the utilities. Lieutenant 2-1 John Beck held company 2 and released the box at 20:36 hours.

Nov. 29, 2011 at 13:19 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash - Box 2-50 -Tomstown Road and Anthony Highway in Washington Township. Rescue Squad 2 the second engine from company 2 and Waynesboro EMS were due on the box. Engine 2-1 was on a transfer at New Franklin when this call came in. Mont Alto's Engine Company was dispatched, but placed in service. Waynesboro EMS transported to the Waynesboro Hospital. Units went available at 13:55 hours.

Nov. 12, 2011 at 12:24 hours - Assisted the Waynesboro Police - Hazardous Materials - Box 2-01 - 300 Ringgold Street. The police department was called for found property, upon arrival they found a petroleum product believed to be gasoline. Rescue Squad 2 took the container and made proper disposal of the product.
Nov. 12, 2011 at 11:55 hours - Special Request - Wildland Fire - Box 5-06 - 8586 Bakner Road in Quincy Township. Brush 2 Responded with Deputy Chief Stoops and Captain Starliper to the quarter acre brush fire. They use two loads of water before they were released by Command 5 at 12:39 hours
Nov. 08, 2011 at 15:02 hours - Vehicle Fire - Box 2-70 - 13145 Delaware Circle in Washington Township. The engine compartment was knocked down quickly. Engine 2-1, Rescue Squad 2 and Waynesboro EMS were in service at 15:27 hours.
November 04, 2011 - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash with roll over - Box 4-02 - Midvale Road and Harbaugh Church Road in Washington Township. Engine Company 2 was dispatched to fill the box. Upon arrival the crew assisted with patient care and packaging. Four patients were transported by Blue Ridge and Waynesboro EMS and two occupants refused treatment and transport. October 31, 2011 about 00:30 hours - Rescue Box - Vehicle Crash with roll over -Washington County's Box Area 9 - 23737 Ringgold Pike. Rescue Squad 2 assisted Leitersburg Fire and Smithsburg Ambulance with patient care and hazard control. One patient was transported to Meritus Medical Center. Rescue Squad 2 was on the scene for approx. ½ hour.
Oct. 24, 2011 at 16:06 hours - Rescue Local - Car Vs. Tractor Trailer with a fuel leak - Box 2-95 - Anthony Highway South and Goods Dam Road in Washington Township. Upon arrival of Deputy Chief 2-1 (Jody Sanders) advised that there was one injury and a jack-knifted tractor trailer leaking fuel. Rescue Squad 2 and Engine 2-1 assisted EMS with patient care and hazard control. The crew contained the leak of about 30 gallons of diesel fuel. The patient was transported by Waynesboro EMS to the Waynesboro Hospital. Waynesboro Fire-Police shut down the road to make it a safe operation. Units were avavailible at 18:02 Hours.
Oct. 19. 2011 at 17:37 - Hazardous Materials Incident - 1900 Block of East Main Street - Box 2-40 - Washington Township - Eastbound PA Route 16 was closed from Landis Avenue to Iroquois Trail ( five Blocks ), due a truck leaking oil. The truck lost about 40 gallons of oil. Company 2 responded with Engine 2-1, the Rescue Squad and Utility 2, also assisting on the box was Rescue Squad 4, Assistant Rescue Chief 4A (Blue Ridge Summit),and EMS from Waynesboro Ambulance Squad.
Washington Township EMA worked with Command 2 (Captain 2-2 Bob Blizzard) to dam and dike the oil spill. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Washington Township Road crews were on the scene with crews spreading sand to absorb the oil. Traffic was detoured over two hours by Washington Township Police, Waynesboro and Blue Ridge Summit Fire Police. Units were availible at 19:39 hours.
Oct. 16, 2011 at 04:57 - Dwelling Fire - 131 North Church Street in Waynesboro - Box 2-01 - Engine , Tower and Squad responded from company 2 and engine companies from Mont Alto, Leitersburg MD and Waynesboro EMS were also on the box.. The first units on the scene reported a working fire. A smoke detector alerted the family who made it outside safely. The fire was contained to the mainly to rear porch with some extended into the wall of the kitchen. Damages were estimated at $20,000 .The Waynesboro Police Department is investigating the cause of the fire. Units were available at 07:56 hours.
Oct. 15, 2011 at 1037 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash ( car vs. motorcycle) Box 2-40 Mentzer Gap Road and Fish & Game Road in Washington Twp. Engine 2-1, Rescue Squad 2, Medic 201 and BLS ambulance 2-8 were on the scene until 11:16 hours. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the Waynesboro Hospital.
Oct 12, 2011 at 16:57 - Structural Fire in mid-rise apartment building - Box 2-01 - 94 East Main St. in the borough. Due on the box was Engine, Tower and Rescue Squad from company 2, Engine companies from Mont Alto, Blue Ridge Summit and Leitersburg MD,truck company from New Franklin and EMS from Waynesboro EMS. Upon arrival of Engine 2-2, career operator Steve Biesecker advised that there was a kitchen fire on the third floor, and it had been extinguished by the resident. He report that there was a smoke condition on the third and forth floors. Engine 2-1,Engine 2-2, Engine 5-1,Rescue Squad 2 and Tower 2 was held for ventilation. Leitersburg's engine 9 filled our station. Crew were available at 17:25.
Oct. 12, 2011 at 16:35 - Rescue Local -Vehicle Crash -14933 Wayne Highway South in Washington Twp. - Box 2-95. Engine 2-1, Rescue Squad 2, Waynesboro EMS and Washington County MD Medic 79 did patent care and hazard control. The patents were transported to the Waynesboro Hospital. Units cleared at 16:58. Fire-Police were held by Washington Township Police for traffic control.
Oct. 12, 2011 at 02:20 - Structural Fire in an abandoned house - Frederick County MD Box 10-27 - Raven Rock Road. First arriving units found a two and a half story farm house totally involved. Tower 2 and Engine-Tanker 2 were held. The tanker was use for water supply. Company 2 unit were in service 03:58 hours.
Oct 10, 2011 at 10:17 - Elevator Rescue - Box 2-01 - 550 East Second Street the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Engine 2-1 and Rescue Squad 2 responded, opened the elevator and was in service at 10:34 hours

Oct. 01, 2011 at 14:32 hours - Rescue Local Vehicle Crash – Box 2-30 – 9000 Block Marsh Road in Washington Township. The call was initially dispatched as a 3-27 box but once Rescue Squad 3 arrived on scene the location was changed to a 2-90 box. Engine 2-2 and Rescue Squad 2 responded. 2 patients were transported to the hospital. Units were in service at 15:14 hours.
Sept. 30, 2011 at 12:17 hours - First alarm industrial assignment fire in the building. Box 2-01, 100 CV Avenue at York Refrigeration - Frick Plant in the Borough of Waynesboro. First arriving units found a small electrical fire in one of the company’s machines and was quickly extinguished and ventilated. Also on the box was Mont Alto, Blue Ridge Summit, New Franklin and Leitersburg fire companies. Units cleared the scene at 1:17 a.m.

Vehicle Crash with entrapment and fire - Box 4-03 - 10238 Old Forge Road
near its intersection with Calimer Drive in Washington Township. Rescue
Squad 2 filled the assignment.
A Waynesboro teenager died at the Waynesboro Hospital and two other
people were critically injured.
One was airlifted to York (Pa.) Hospital where he died of his
injuries on September 24th, and the other was taken to
Meritus Medical Center and later transported to University of Maryland
Trauma Center. Engine 2-1 responded to cover the
landing zone for LifeNet 81 at Old Forge Road and Mentzer Gap Road.

Sept. 10, 2011 at 13:33 hours - Second Alarm Assignment - Tower 2 responded to the working duplex fire - Box 1-05 - 132 East Catherine Street in the Borough of Chambersburg. The Tower were held until 1417 hours.
Sept 08, 2011 at 2001 hours – PEMA Special Request – York County - 1341 West Market Street, Borough of West York Fire Department - Utility 2 with water pumps was dispatched as part of a PEMA strike team. The Franklin County units From Waynesboro, Mont Alto, South Mountain, Pleasant Hall and the Franklin Fire Company responded together. The Strike team worked the same neighborhoods checking on residences and pumping out basements. Utility 2 was in quarters a little after 2 AM.

Sept. 01, 2011 at 13:47 hours - Special Request - Vehicle Crash, head on with entrapment - Box 16-04 - Quincy Township - Old Forge Road in the area of Swift Run Road. Engine 2-1 and Rescue Squad 2 was requested by chief 16. Company 2 crew assisted with the extrication and hazard control. Engine - Tanker 2 was special requested for the land zone stand-by. One male patient was flown by Life Net 81 to York Trauma center. The driver and passenger of the pick-up truck were uninjured. Units were in service at 15:12 hours.

August 28, 2011 at 20:55 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash - Box 2-01 - 300 block of South Church Street in Waynesboro. Engine 2-1 and Rescue Squad 2 Responded with two BLS units from Waynesboro EMS and ALS Medic 200. Fire department controlled the hazards and was ready at 21:59 hours. Waynesboro Fire Police directed traffic keeping the scene safe, Thank you!
August 14, 2011 at 09:04 hours - Special Request - Rescue Assignment - Vehicle crash with heavy entrapment - Buchanan Trail East and Monterey Lane in Washington Township - Box 4-01. Rescue Squad 2 was special requested for a three vehicle crash. A Suzuki Grand Vitara was t-boned by an armored vehicle spun and tipped over onto its right side, landing on top of a Honda Accord. The driver of the Suzuki was transported to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown MD, where he was pronounced dead. The other patients was transported to local hospitals. Rescue Squad 2 returned at 11:11 hours.
August 13, 2011 at 14:26 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash - Mentzer Gap Road and Fish & Game Road in Washington Township - Box 2-40. Company 4 was dispatched to the same call and arrived at the same time, so both departments worked together on the extrication. Waynesboro had Engine - Tanker 2 and Rescue Squad 2 on the scene, Blue Ridge Summit Fire & Rescue had Engine 4-1 and Rescue Squad 4, Both had BLS unit on the scene as well as ALS from Medic 200. All patients were transported to Waynesboro Hospital. Later one patient was air lifted to the trauma center. Washington Township Police and Fire Police from 2 and 4 had the road closed for the incident. Units cleared at 15:21 hours.
August 12, 2011 at 14:36 hours - Rescue Box - Vehicle Crash - 6826 Slabtown Road in Quincy Township - Box 5-02 - Rescue Squad 2's crew had to pop the door on the red car. Two patients were transported to the hospital. The rescue squad was available at 15:20 hours.
August 09, 2011 at 18:27 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash - Anthony Highway and Tomstown Road - Box 2-50. Units were on the scene for about a hour.

Three patents were transported to Chambersburg Hospital and Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown MD. Unit were available at 12:01 hours.

The fire was started by a lightning strike. Damage was estimated at $400,000.00. Waynesboro units were availible at 15:58 hours.

Company two was assisted by Mont Alto, Blue Ridge, Leitersburg, Smithburg, Greencastle, South Mountain, Fountain dale, New Franklin, Raven Rock, the Franklin County Air unit, Waynesboro and Mont Alto EMS. June 30, 2011 at 0730 hours - Fire in the Dwelling - Box 2-01 - 230 Dickinson Avenue in Waynesboro. Crew found a dehumidifer on fire. The box was held to the Engine and Tower.
June 21, 2011 at 15:08 hours -Vehicle Crash - Rescue Box 5-02 - 7321 Anthony Highway, Quincy Township - Mont Alto's Engine Company and EMS, Rescue Squad 2 and Medic 200 was dispatched for a vehicle accident with possible entrappment. Rescue Squad 2 assisted with patient care and controled the hazards. One patient was transported to the Waynesboro Hospital by BLS from Mont Alto EMS. Rescue Squad 2 when availible at 15:38 hours.
June 16, 2011 at 16:09 hours - Dwelling Box Assignment - Inside Investigation - Box 4-01 - 14213 #7 Buchanan Trail East - In Washington Township. Tower 2 was dispatched on the initial box, later the Engine 2-1 and Rescue Squad were dispatched to complete the box. Captain 4 arrived to find food burnt on the stove. Engine companies 4 and 2, as well as Tower 2 were held for ventilation.
June 12, 2011 at 16:12 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash with injuries - Box Area 2-50 -Country Club Road and Mentzer Gap Road in Washington Township - Units arrived to find a two vehicle T-bone impact crash. Rescue Squad 2 and Engine 2-1's crews assisted EMS and controlled the hazards. Waynesboro EMS transported to two patients to the Waynesboro Hospital. Company 2's Fire-Police closed Mentzer Gap Road. Crews cleared the incident at 16:50 hours.
June 10, 2011 - Public Relations - Career Apparatus Operator, Steve Biesecker sprays children from the Waynesboro Area YMCA at Memorial Park late Friday morning. Vanessa Ruffin’s full-time day care class walked to the park for lunch on Friday to celebrate summertime. Children, teachers and supervisors from the School’s Out program also participated in the water fun.

June 5, 2011 at 13:49 hours - Townhouse complex on fire - Box 2-70 - Antietam Townhouses, 13132 Welty Road in Washington Township, Apartment number 2. Police Department on the scene reported a working fire to the rear of the above address. Transfer companies were dispatched as well as the working fire dispatch. The fire was held to side C and the deck. One adult and child were displaced and will be assisted by the Waynesboro Area Red Cross. This box brought engine companies from Waynesboro, Fountaindale, Long Meadow, Smithburg, South Mountain and Raven Rock. Rescue Squad from Emmitsburg MD. Truck companies from Long Meadow MD and the Franklin's Station 4. EMS from Mont Alto was on the scene. Traffic control was done by Fire-Police from companies 2, 4 and 5. Washington Township Police are investigating the cause. The Unit were for over a hour. No injuries were reported.
June 5, 2011 at 13:02 hours - Commercial building fire - Box Area 2-01 - 213 West Main Street in the Borough of Waynesboro. First unit on the scene found a working fire in a warehouse to the rear of Simmers House of birds & Pets. It took about a hour to bring the fire under control. The first alarm assignment and special requests brought engine companies from Waynesboro, Mont Alto, Blue Ridge Summit, Leiersburg, Smithburg, Greencastle, Emmitsburg, South Mountain, Fountaindale, Truck companies from Waynesboro, New Franklin and the Franklins Station 4, Rescue Squads from Blue Ridge Summit and Emmitsburg MD, EMS from Waynesboro, Mont Alto, Greencastle, Fayetteville. Re-Hab was Waynesboro EMS and Washington County Re-Hab 2-5-5. The Washington County Air Unit was also on the scene. Main Street and Grant Streets were shut down by Fire-Police from 2,3, 4 and 5. The last unit cleared the scene at about 16:15 hours. Two firefigher were taken to the Waynesboro Hospital for heat exhaustion and one firefighter twisted his ankle, but was to bullhead to have it checked!
June 4, 2011 - at approximately 4-01- the Blue Ridge Food Mart - 15010 Buchanan Trail East - In Washington Township. The first arriving units found smoke coming from the rear of the building. Engine 2-1 and Engine Tanker 2 staged and the Tower went to side A and assisted with ventilation. Units were held for about 30 minutes.

June 02, 2011 at 0835 hours - Rescue Local Vehicle Crash with possible entrapment - Box Area 2-01 - West Third Street near Phillips Avenue. First arriving unit found a car struck by a van on the drivers side. The Engine 2-1's crew controlled the hazards and the Rescue Squad did the stabilization, as well assisted EMS. Waynesboro EMS and Medic 200 took patient care. Injuries were minor.

May 23, 2011 - Investigation of Smoke in a Extended Living Complex - Box 5-10 Quincy Home Complex, Colestock Building, 6596 Orphanage Road in Quincy Township. Company 2 was due with the engine company and tower. The tower was placed into operation.
May 22, 2011 - Dwelling Fire - Box 2-40 - 9286 Oyler Drive in Washington Township. The assignment was held to Engine 2-2 when on arrival they found a gas grill fire extinguished by the home owner. The fire was caused be a leak at the cylinder connection. Engine 2-2 was on the scene about 10 minutes.
May 22, 2011 at 1549 - Local alarm non-emergency - Community Service - Box 2-40 - Welty Road and East Main Street. Rescue Squad 2 assisted the Washington Township Police Department with the rescue of 8 ducklings from a storm drain. They were returned to their waiting mother, that watched the operations.
May 19, 2011 at 07:28 hours - Local Alarm - Out building fire - Box 2-40 - 9063 Rinehart Drive in Wahington Township. Engine 2-1 arrived, they found the gazebo surrounded by a pond in the backyard engulfed in flames.The fire was under control within five minutes. Vernon Ashway, the Washington Township Police's fire marshal, was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
May 18, 2011 at 15:38 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash - Box 4-02 Buchanan Trail East and Washington Township Blvd. Engine company 2 filled the assignment. Upon arrival Engine 2-1's crew checked for hazards and assisted EMS with patient care. The three vehicle accident brought three refusals and one patient was transported by Blue Ridge Summit EMS to the Waynesboro Hospital. Engine 2-1 was released at 16:00 hours. Traffic was rerouted by Fire-Police from company 2 and 4.

May 16, 2011 at 0740 hours - Rescue Box - Vehicle Crash with overturned Box 16-04 on the Old Forge Road in Quincy Township. South Mountain Fire and EMS held the box to Engine Copany16 and EMS from 16. Rescue Squad 2 and Medic 7 were cancelled while en-route.

May 06, 2011 at 7:28 hours - Rescue Box - Vehicle Crash with entrappment Box 5-02 Quincy Township, Mount Zion and Manheim roads. The first due unit were an engine and ambulance from Mont Alto Fire Company, Rescue Squad 2 and Medic 200. Chief 5 special requested additional 3 BLS ambulances, one ALS unit and an a engine out of company 2. The crew from Squad 2 assisted company 5 crew with the extrication of two patients. A total of three patients were transported to Meritus Truma Center and the Waynesboro Hospital. Units were on the scene for about two hours.

May 05, 2011 at 11:40 hours - Rescue Local - Vehicle Crash - Box 2-17 - Quincy Township, Wayne Highway and Clay Hill Road. Five patients were transported to the Waynesboro Hospital. Engine 2-1, Rescue Squad 2, BLS Ambulances from Waynesboro and Mont Alto were on the scene. Advanced Life Support was provided by Medic 200.
April 30, 2011 at 09:59 hours – Rescue Local – Vehicle Crash – 702 East Second Street, Engine 2-2, Rescue Squad 2, Waynesboro BLS and Waynesboro Fire Police were on the scene 20 for minutes. Two patients were transported to the Waynesboro Hospital.

April 28, 2011 at 19:57 hours – Investigation of smoke in a “tax payer” Box 2-01, 91 West Main Street the Waynesboro News Agency. The box was held for about an hour. The source of the odor was found. The Waynesboro Police Department is investigating the incident. The commercial assignment brought engine companies from Mont Alto, Blue Ridge Summit, Leitersburg MD, and the second truck was from New Franklin. Waynesboro EMS was also on the scene. The last unit cleared at 21:40 hours
April 28, 2011 at 0500 hours - Single family dwelling struck by lightning - Washington County MD - Box 7-16, 11405 Crystal Falls Drive in Smithsburg. Tower 2 and Engine - Tanker 2 responded. The units were on the scene for about two hours.
April 24, 2011 at 1920 hours – Inside investigation of smoke – Washington County Maryland Box 7-03, 24414 Gram Avenue. Tower 2 was held. The tower’s crew assisted in finding a faulty refrigerator. Units were placed available at 1959 hours.

April 18, 2011 at 15:39 Hours - Dwelling Fire - Box 2-01. 244 West North Street. The crew for engine 2-2 made a fast knock down, Squad 2's crew opened the wall and ceiling. Engine Company 5 was held to assist. The incident was wrapped up in just under a hour.
April 10, 2011 at 1029 Hours - Rescue Local MVA - Box 2-01. 19 North Church Street. Engine 2-1, Rescue Squad 2 crews assisted EMS and controlled the hazards. Two patients were transported to Waynesboro Hospital.

April 8, 2011 - Rescue local -Shortly before 11 AM a 2 vehicle accident occurred in front of 35 South Potomac Street (one building down from the fire station). Company 2 assisted EMS crews with patient care. A fluid spill was contained and fire police directed traffic around the scene. 2 patients were transported to the hospital

- Box 2-90. Rescue Squad 2 respond to single family residents on Wharf Road in
Washington Township for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. This made the
forth call in four hours.

April 02, 2011 at 1040 hours –Rescue Local – Box 2-07. Within a minute of clearing the 16 box, Company 2 was dispatched for a single vehicle into a tree at Gear Roard and Country Club Road in Washington Township. Engine 2-2’s crew assisted EMS with patient packaging, while the Squad’s crew stabilized the vehicle and controlled hazards. Waynesboro Fire Police directed traffic while crews safely operated.
April 02, 2011 at 1032 hours –Rescue Local – Box 16-3 – Rescue Squad 2 completed the assignment for the vehicle crash one overturned on Old Forge Road in Quincy Township. Command 16 placed the Squad in service while enroute.
April 02, 2011 at 0924 hours – First alarm industrial assignment, Box 3-02 - 1565 Buchanan Trail East at Manitowoc Cranes, Shady Grove Plant for a fire in the dust collection system. Command 3 assigned the Tower 2, Engine 2-2 and Washington County Rescue Squad 13 to the roof to investigate the system’s vent.

March 31, 2011 - Filling the 16-3 Box – Engine Tanker 2 responded for a working fire at a hunting lodge at 1600 Newman Road in Adams County. The Hamiltonban Township roadmaster spotted the fire and reported it at 5:05 a.m. No one was at the cabin at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.were reported.

March 17, 2011 at 00:06 Hours -A Waynesboro woman died Thursday morning, 10 hours after she was flown to the York Hospital from a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of West Main and Grant streets. Two other drivers were transported to local hospitals.
March 16, 2011 - Structural Fire - Box 2-01. A quick knock down of the kitchen fire at 126 Hamilton
Avenue in the boro. Mont Alto, Leitersburg, Fire Companies along with Waynesboro
EMS assisted on the scene. No injuries were reported.
Feb. 03,2011 at approximately 17:30 hours - Commercial building fire - Box Area 2-50 - McAfee Motorsports on Mentzer Gap Road , Quincy Township. Engine 2-1,Tower 2, Engine-Tanker 2, Rescue Squad 2 found fire between the ceiling and roof .
Crew vented the roof and performed some salvage at the site after the fire was extinguished. Waynesboro was assisted by Mont Alto, South Mountain, Blue Ridge, Raven Rock, Fountaindale, Fayetteville, New Franklin, Franklin County Air Unit, Waynesboro Ambulacne Squad and Fire-Police from 2, 4, 5 and 16. Crew worked about 2.5 hours.
